Green Stamp at Endoscopy
Given the growing awareness of the environmental impact of endoscopic procedures, Endoscopy has decided to award a “green stamp” to manuscripts that address this issue and/or offer ways to reduce waste or cut down on CO2 emissions. At least one, but preferably two or more of the following criteria should be met for a manuscript to get a green stamp.
1. The direct or indirect outcomes of the study include environmental impact (such as CO2 reduction).
2. Environmental impact is part of the motivation for the study.
3. Results are discussed from an environmental perspective.
4. The study leads health care workers to realize that the outcome should be incorporated into future practice.
The green stamp is shown in the graphical abstract, and the reason for the award is briefly explained at the end of the paper.
